O tvorbu elektronickej hudby sa začal producent/dj C-qnz, vlastným menom Andrej Bajdich, zaujímať okolo roku 1994. V tej dobe sa dalo hovoriť skôr o experimentovaní s hudobným softwarom, ako bol napr. Fasttracker a učení sa základov hudobnej produkcie, resp. o „odkukávaní“ techník od producentov akými boli napr. (legendárni) Xplizit, kt. robili, v čase keď sa bpm pohybovalo okolo hodnoty 180, neuveriteľné veci na trackeroch. O pár rokov neskôr sa stretáva s vtedajším kolegom Reorder-om, s ktorým tvorili formáciu Riceandchicken (C-qnz feat. Reorder ). Počas nasledujúcich rokov spolu tvorili tracky ktoré siahali od ravu, hc až po techno etc., založili spolu multistylovú stránku (booking) - www.raccrew.sk ako aj organizovali vlastné akcie – napr. Drumhouse sessions. V súčasnosti sa každí vybrali vlastnou cestou a robia produkciu a djing opäť každý sám.

Lámaným beatom sa C-qnz začal naplno venovať zhruba od roku 2002. Jeho produkcia prechádzala rôznymi fázami vývoja – od prvých voľne šíriteľných trackov až po v súčasnosti jeho najväčšieho úspechu: releasu jeho 2 trackov (Alpha & Omega / Alien Prayer) na americkom labely Technorganic recs. Track „Alien Prayer“ mal pozitívny ohlas aj na svetovom fóre dnb produkcie - www.dogsonacid.com. S súčasnosti by sa dala jeho produkcia charakterizovať ako zmes technoidných broken beats a rýchlejších, temnejšími basových liniek. Pri produkcii rád experimentuje, čiže nie je vylúčené, že v budúcnosti uzrie svetlo sveta aj nejaký jeho non-dnb/jungle track. C-qnz-ovú procukciu si môžete vypočuť priamo z jeho MP3-Playera alebo v sekcii downloads (kde nájdete aj nerealsnuté free tracky na stiahnutie).

Od roku 2004 sa začal zaujímať aj o djing a vlastne od vtedy-najskôr ako Riceandchicken, neskôr samostatne- začal točiť placky v kluboch po rôznych klubových a open air akciách – napr. v Sublube na akcii System Shock, v Dune(kedysi:)) na Phreak Da Sound alebo na klubových nociach Dirty Bass v martinskej Alpii, na ktorých realizácii sa aj aktívne podieľal.

V svojich setoch sa snaží okrem svojich obľúbených producentov akými sú napr. Axiom, Spor atď. odprezentovať svoju vlastnú produkciu, čiže najčastejšie od neho budete počuť niečo, čo by sa dalo zaškatuľkovať do „dnb-slovníka“ ako techstep, neurofunk alebo darkstep, ale pohrdne ani ragga jungle-om. ENGLISH PROFILE

Producer/dj C-qnz, with real name Andrej Bajdich, interests for the production of electronic music begun around the year 1994. At that time, when the bpm moved around the value of 180, he started to experiment with the early tracker software e.g. Fasttracker a learned the basics in beat and rhythm structure or let’s say he tried to “imitate” the tracks from the „the kings of tracker musicians“ – Xplizit. It was quite amazing what kind of music they could do with such simple programs. Few years later he hooked up with his mate Reorder and they formed the production duo Riceandchicken (C-qnz feat. Reorder ). During the next few years they’ve produced all kinds of tracks, ranging from rave, hc till techno etc. and they started together also they own multistyle website (booking) - www.raccrew.sk and organized some local parties – e.g . Drumhouse sessions. Nowadays they both went separate ways.

About the year 2002 he discovered the magic of broken beats and he’s dedicated to them till today. His production went through different stages of evolution – starting off with the first free downloadable tracks and moving forward, till his biggest success so far: the release of his 2 tracks (Alpha & Omega / Alien Prayer) on the american label Technorganic recs. The track „Alien Prayer“ was also appreciated by the world’s biggest dnb forum - www.dogsonacid.com. Nowadays C-qnz’s production could be described as a mix of technoid broken beats and faster, darker bass lines. He likes to experiment a lot during the production process so it’s likely, that he’ll make also some non-dnb track someday in the future. Since the music production goes hand in hand with the djing, in the year 2004, C-qnz started also to buy some records and play at diverse club and open air parties e.g. System Shock at Subclub in Bratislava, Phreak Da Sound at (back in the days:))Duna and also the Dirty Bass club nights at Martin’s club Alpia, where he was also part of the promotional staff.

In his sets, he’s trying to play, alongside the tracks of his favourite producers e.g. Axiom, Spor etc., his own production aswell, so you’ll hear techstep, neurofunk or darkstep the most time when he’s at the turntables, but he also likes for example raga jungle. So stay tuned!...and
